The RESOLVE campaign is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between 9 partner agencies who believed in one common goal – to create affordable rental housing with support services for up to 3000 vulnerable and homeless Calgarians.
The issue of homelessness in Calgary is intensified by a critical shortage of affordable and supported housing. As a member of the RESOLVE campaign we follow the ‘Housing First’ philosophy. The idea behind this being that those who are experiencing or are at risk for homelessness are provided with housing first so they can gain the stability they need to get back on their feet.
Calbridge Homes is one of 11 local builders that believes in RESOLVE and we’ve joined together to contribute a combined $15.4 million dollars to the cause. In collaboration with Calgary Homeless Foundation and HomeSpace Society, Calbridge Homes’ $1.4 million donation to RESOLVE will go towards the completion of the campaign’s 8th new building.
The Calbridge Homes RESOLVE building will provide 38 units for those affected by homelessness. We are due to break ground on this project in early 2019.
